Well really my husband's =)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:14pt'&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I thought the 6week body make over was going to work for me. It did for the first week I lost 10 pounds and then a few small mistakes over the weekend and not a lot believe me&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:14pt'&gt;&lt;strong&gt; By my next weigh in I gained a 8 of the 10 I lost back. For 139.00 can you imagine how ticked I was and the support well I emailed them saying I was allergic to eggs and couldn't eat fish or chicken and turkey and there reply was since I don't like them try the great tasting recipes..uhhh I can't eat them … after several emails I gave up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:14pt'&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Well I got to the point that my book shelves are full of diet books they all worked and well then they didn't. I am sure it's me. I am over 40 100 pounds to lose and a couch potato going through perimenopause. Life is good!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:14pt'&gt;&lt;strong&gt;My family doctor always told me if I was going to look up medical stuff on line to trust the mayo clinic's website and for many years I have looked up things my family's have had symptoms my friends would tell me they have etc.. They have always come through with good honest information. Then the light bulb went off. Uhh duh. If I trust them with my health isn't my weight part of that.. so I looked up diet on their site and found they created their own. Yes I was very hesitant to buy another book I found  a group and asked about it on Facebook and someone replied to me very quickly why there are only just over 5k members is beyond me I wasn't even on the plan yet and the support was amazing. I bought the book and got it yesterday..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:14pt'&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I stayed up till 11 reading it till I just couldn't keep my eyes open. I knew if nothing else I had to start my day with a healthy breakfast. So off to bed I went.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:14pt'&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I woke up with the most incredible feeling not something full of false hopes no food depravation just the weight of the world off my shoulders. I grabbed my cup of coffee and watched the news. Checked my mail and chatted a bit with my son online that's back from the war. That stress is over and the terrible fights we had while he was over there were heart wrenching, many sleepless nights and bags and  bags of chips and gallons of ice-cream later. It's all behind us. I just had this feeling of I can finally move forward in my life so off to the kitchen I went and made some old fashion oatmeal cut my banana in half I was doing great but sprinkled a cinnamon sugar mix on top and I glass of milk.. Don't know what I was thinking but tomorrow I won't use the cinnamon sugar mix. My breakfast filled me a few hours later I ate the other half of my banana. Before I knew it lunch time was here. I ended up have a can of Progresso soup. Tomorrow I will only have half of it. I made a cheese sandwich with 2 pieces of fiber one wheat bread again tomorrow only half 3 hours later and I am still so stuffed too much food no need for any snack before dinner that's for sure. For dinner i have to wheat pasta I think I will make that up and some homemade spaghetti. Sauce and throw in some frozen zucchini to make it more filling with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Not too sure what I am going to do tonight.. Hubby and I are going to watch a Netflix movie that came in the mail 127 hours that's hard not munching on something during a movie time. I will be strong maybe air popcorn or something. I am doing well on my good habits which are what you need to focus on your first two weeks. I walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill and used the arm thingy's. I was pretty tired and sweaty I started out at 1.5 miles per hour and ended at 1.7. its in my bedroom its pretty boring in there no tv or anything so I think on Sunday I think I will ask hubby to bring it out to the living room so I can walk and watch tv. I don't plan on running theres 246.6 pounds that my knees and feet have to carry and I don't want to hurt myself proving something to someone or trying to be someone I am not. I am very obese and I know it. If I try to run, I know I will hurt myself and- then where will I be. Yes it is on the 17 day diet plan. I am so happy that i actually cry when i step on the scale. I say every morning are you serious. Diets can really be blown on the weekend when the family pulls out the junk food. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;breakfast &lt;br&gt;Yoplait light apple turnover yogurt&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;(ughh have to go shopping today another storm coming Tuesday night suppose to be between 10-18 inches)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Snack&lt;br&gt;half a grapefruit&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Lunch&lt;br&gt;left over taco salad&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;dinner&lt;br&gt;this was delicious and so didn't feel like a diet&lt;br&gt;i made a ground sirloin hamburger Pattie, with scallions a dash of ketchup and mustard&lt;br&gt;i in a frying pay i put in some red,green,orange,yellow peppers and onions, with olive oil cooked them up added the patty and cooked that up&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;and put a green giant box of broccoli in the microwave.&lt;br&gt;this dinner was so good. i may do this again tonight and the broccoli tasted soo good i may get more since the store has it on sale for like 1.00 a box.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;snack&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;cottage cheese and pears&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;snack &lt;br&gt;pears in can&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;lunch &lt;br&gt;huge salad&lt;br&gt;green tea 2cups ( i do drink it i just keep forgetting to add it)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;dinner&lt;br&gt;well its some sort of fried thing i did&amp;nbsp; with onions peppers tomatoes with some spices and then sprinkled cheese on it didn't finish it but it was good. Made my Greek yogurt strawberry ice-cream so i have something to nibble on during the Wal-Mart family movie night movie at 8.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;snack &lt;br&gt;yogurt ice-cream&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;breakfast&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Greek yogurt my first time trying it..wow is that a tang..lol &lt;br&gt;i added smuckers sugar free strawberry jam &lt;br&gt;i couldn't eat it all so i looked it up on line and found i can freeze this i though awesome i can have like a strawberry cream cicle tonight for snack.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;snack- &lt;br&gt;orange&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;lunch &lt;br&gt;salad cheese and salad dressing &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;dinner &lt;br&gt;fried peppers and onions in olive oil why i am eating this i have no idea other then its filling and well it smells awesome and tastes great. added some parmesan cheese and Mrs. Dash spices. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;snack time was awesome tonight&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;i had my strawberry Greek yogurt cream cicle thing. i did have to pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds then another 10 seconds it was rock hard. OMG it was so good. I am thinking my sugar free blackberry will be awesome in that too.. You have to try it.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;i forgot to put in my pictures. Man allot changes in a person when they gain weight and life deals some tough blows all the more reason to follow through with this new plan. I am tired of being this big. &lt;p&gt;Ok its really the start of day 4 but i wrote everything down in a note pad so i figure there's not enough info out there about this diet that's positive that i will share mine.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;first about me.. the picture&amp;nbsp; of me was almost 2 years ago when i started dieting. notice i weighed 226 pounds and after Atkins, W.W, john Gabriel,Dr. Phil, volumetric, and many more i weighed in at 245 on day one. I counted calories,carbs sugars,protein, i am so sick of counting!!!! I am sick of measuring this and that starving and still being fat. I am sick of spending money and all that i got was another book to dust and watching certain people who are writing books off to Hawaii promoting his new thing. hmmm Hawaii promoting..what you really want more of my money i couldn't even afford to see my son off to war but you want more of my money and what do i get..oh false hope. Because you came up with a new part of your plan..I am done not for me anymore. I love watching Dr.Phil (sometimes) well when i saw him promote this book i was thinking what?? he has his own. i read it, i am sure i did oh yup there it is on my book shelf. So i watched the show was very interested. NO special food no Dr. stuff that i am suppose to figure out. Straight forward eat this from this list (which is pretty yummy). Ok he's getting my 29.00 i lost tons of money on&amp;nbsp; the other ones, i believed all the other stuff read more about sugars carbs and everything. I could write a book but well to be honest it would say the same thing as everyone else's. I like people to much to take there money like that. &lt;br&gt;so here are my stats&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;i am 5’6” &lt;br&gt;i weigh 245 lbs gross huh &lt;br&gt;i turned 46 in November and been dealing with menopause ughhh &lt;br&gt;i am a stay at home mom now homeschooling my autistic son, i have a daughter that graduated high school and cant find a job and my oldest just got married and is off to war and i have a wonderful husband who has loved me so much all these years autistic my best friend.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;ok so Tuesday Jan 4th i started the 17 day diet&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;please note i am not going to count,measure or weigh anything to eat and i didn't have the food i needed to start i went shopping after breakfast&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;breakfast &lt;br&gt;2 slices of toast with peanut butter&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;lunch &lt;br&gt;pears with cottage cheese i found pears in there juice not in syrup at stop and shop they were good&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;dinner &lt;br&gt;pork chop fried in olive oil onions an peppers I know pork chops isn't on the list but i don't eat eggs poultry or fish so&amp;nbsp; i might not follow this to the perfect T. &lt;br&gt;green beans &lt;br&gt;lettuce with some cheese and salad dressing. &lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;snack1- &lt;br&gt;i had a vita muffin (again not on list but i bought a case of these i am not giving them up that pumpkin spice is to die for and only 100 calories and packed with vitamins and fiber and its awesome with my green tea)&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Snack2 &lt;br&gt;green tea with some cheese&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;then i stayed up till midnight with a webinar and had to have chips i don't know why but i felt i had to have them &lt;br&gt;(that was figured out when i was getting ready for bed) with menopause there is no schedule anymore and well the salt craving was my pms. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;well off to bed i went pretty happy overall with my day. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5248596067064503715-5270610646791727713?l=i-will-be-thin-again.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://i-will-be-thin-again.blogspot.com/feeds/5270610646791727713/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://i-will-be-thin-again.blogspot.com/2011/01/17-day-diet-day-1.html#comment-form' title='1 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5248596067064503715/posts/default/5270610646791727713'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5248596067064503715/posts/default/5270610646791727713'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://i-will-be-thin-again.blogspot.com/2011/01/17-day-diet-day-1.html' title='17 day diet ~~~ Day 1'/><author><name>Ruthanne</name><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='26' height='32' src='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_X773GFPQX_w/TFl3rZOsy0I/AAAAAAAAAHY/QixdCEyqgVg/S220/me.jpg'/></author><thr:total>1</thr:total></entry></feed>
